By Aaron Humes: An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg early this morning, Saturday, January 17, in the Bay Street area of Buttonwood Bay.
Isani Conorquie was standing with his brother outside their home on Bay Street when a black Equinox drove by and stopped about 15 feet away. A man wearing a black hoodie exited the vehicle and fired several shots, hitting Conorquie in the leg.
Conorquie was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. Police collected evidence, including blood swabs and surveillance footage, and are investigating the attempted murder.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
