By Aaron Humes: 15-year-old Alex Griffith of Lords’ Bank Village, Belize District, is dead after being run over by a passenger bus after losing control of his bicycle after 5 p.m. this evening.
According to Police, Griffith was riding from Ladyville to Lords Bank junction, on his way to the barber shop when near Mile 10, he lost control, slipping near the edge of the pavement, and fell into the path of traffic on the highway. The R. Tillett bus with Orange Walk license plates driven by Jonathan German Ek of Palmar Road, Orange Walk Town, rolled over and crushed him, causing fatal bodily injuries.
Police continue their investigations at this time.
