Tarpon Cove inaugurated in Caye Caulker

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 24, 2024, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB), in collaboration with the Caye Caulker Village Council, officially inaugurated Tarpon Cove in Caye Caulker.

The project aims to enhance the existing tourist attraction by adding additional decking, waiting areas, and a walkway, facilitating uninterrupted access for visitors to marvel at the native tarpon fishes.

Attendees included Minister, Blue Economy and Disaster Risk Management Andre Perez, CEO Nicole Solano of the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Chairlady of Caye Caulker Village Council Seleny Pott.

Mayor of San Pedro Wally Nunez, Chairman of the BTB, Mohit Budhrani, Director of Tourism Evan Tillett and Director of Industry Development Josue Carballo also attended the ceremony.

The initiative underscores the BTB’s steadfast commitment to preserving Belize’s natural heritage while offering unforgettable experiences for visitors worldwide.
