By Zoila Palma: In honor of the National Day of Taiwan, the Formosa Melody Music Center (FMMC) will perform in Belize on Friday, October 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts.
The event, themed A Cultural Feast to Celebrate Double Ten, promises an evening of vibrant music, dance, and cultural exchange.
The performance forms part of a Cultural Goodwill Mission from Taiwan, showcasing the deep and enduring friendship between Taiwan and Belize.
Audiences can look forward to an award-winning showcase that highlights Taiwan’s artistic excellence and cultural diversity.
Founded in 1994, the Formosa Melody Music Center is one of Taiwan’s most acclaimed cultural troupes, having toured nearly 50 cities around the world.
The ensemble is renowned for its multi-sensory instrumental theater, blending traditional Taiwanese melodies, indigenous sounds, and modern artistic expression to create captivating performances.
Over the years, FMMC has earned international recognition, including the Most Popular Award at the Czech Arts Festival and the Best Theatre Award at the 2023 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
