By Zoila Palma: A delegation from Taiwan’s Veterans Affairs Council, led by Deputy Minister Chin-Kuang Chen, visited Belize from August 24 to 26 as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Upon arrival at the Philip Goldson International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by representatives of the Taiwan Embassy in Belize and the ROC Veterans Association in Belize.
During the visit, the delegation met with Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize Amino Chi and held discussions with members of the ROC Veterans Association.
They also visited the Belize Ex-Services League, where they exchanged experiences on veterans’ services and support.
The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to share perspectives on veterans’ affairs while further strengthening the longstanding friendship and close people-to-people connections between Taiwan and Belize.
