By Zoila Palma: The Taiwan Embassy in Belize is inviting young Belizeans to apply for the 2026 Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative, a flagship program aimed at strengthening youth exchanges and creating opportunities for Belizean participants to gain international exposure.
Selected participants will travel to Taiwan for a fully sponsored one-month program in October 2026. The initiative, launched by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education, will provide participants with an opportunity to explore areas of cooperation and develop ideas connected to Belize’s future development.
Applicants are invited to submit proposals under one of two themes: Sustainable Tourism or New Energy and Carbon Credit Cooperation. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously travelled to Taiwan or abroad, with up to six Belizean candidates expected to be selected for this year’s program.
The deadline for applications is August 20, 2026.
Applicants must submit all required documents in person at the Taiwan Embassy.
