Taiwan Embassy supports training program for Mayan Women Artisans in Belize

By Zoila Palma:  The Taiwan Embassy in Belize joined the closing ceremony of the “Advanced Product Development and Design Training for Indigenous Women Artisans in Southern Belize,” held in cooperation with Home of Indigenous Arts Belize Limited (HIAB) under the Women’s Empowerment Project.

The program supported 22 Mayan women artisans in enhancing their craftsmanship, building entrepreneurial skills, and preserving Maya cultural heritage.

The embassy expressed pride in contributing to the empowerment of indigenous women and the promotion of Belize’s rich cultural traditions.
