By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On October 10th, the Taiwan Embassy in Belize hosted a reception to celebrate both the National Day of Taiwan and the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and Belize.
The event included the Taiwan Expo, a Taiwan-Belize Friendship Art Exhibition, and a Culinary Show, highlighting the cultural ties between the two nations.
Nearly 300 guests attended the festivities, including Governor-General Dame Froyla Tzalam, Prime Minister John Briceño, Foreign Minister Francis Fonseca, Speaker of the House Valerie Woods, President of the Senate Carolyn Trench-Sandiford, and various distinguished representatives from multiple sectors, alongside members of the Taiwanese diaspora community.
The gathering showcased the deepening friendship between Taiwan and Belize, with the Embassy expressing gratitude to Belizean friends for their steadfast support.
The Embassy emphasized its commitment to further strengthening this partnership, founded on trust, friendship, and mutual respect, as they continue to work together for the benefit of both peoples.
