By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On January 18, 2024, the 1st Meeting of the Administrative Commission under the Taiwan-Belize Economic Cooperation Agreement was held virtually.
CEO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Belize Amalia Mai and Chern-Chyi Chen, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), co-chaired the meeting which achieved numerous constructive results.
The Taiwan Embassy in Belize noted that the fruitful outcome of the meeting marks a pivotal step forward to enhance economic cooperation between Taiwan and Belize.
The Embassy expressed enthusiasm for more progress and closer economic relations between Belize and Taiwan.
