By Zoila Palma: On April 16, 2026, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize Amino Chi paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development and Local Government meeting with Minister Oscar Requena and CEO Valentino Shal.
Discussions included cooperation in rural development and community empowerment, including sustainable growth in rural areas and community-based initiatives.
Minister Requena also illustrated the National Rural Development Strategy (NRDS) 2026-2030.
“We look forward to building on this strong partnership and advancing cooperation that benefits the people of both countries,” the Taiwan Embassy said.
