By Aaron Humes: 25-year-old Tafaree Sanchez has been charged with three counts of attempted murder in relation to the shooting incident that occurred on the Phillip Goldson Highway on Friday, September 26.
The shooting occurred near Horizon Academy, leaving two individuals reportedly injured. The barrage of gunfire was sustained with at least 50 rounds recovered by crime scene investigators.
The victims have been identified as members of the Belize Defense Force (BDF), albeit not in good standing. Glenford Reed, 36, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg, while Joshua Augustine, 28, suffered a graze wound to his stomach.
A third man, Jahreem Staine, reportedly the target of the shooting, escaped uninjured.
