By Aaron Humes: A Belmopan man is being sought for alleged vandalism of his ex-wife’s vehicle during a late-night confrontation in Belize City, according to police.

On Monday evening, the complainant parked her 2016 black Jeep Patriot in her yard around 9:00 PM. Shortly thereafter, her son, who was at home, called to inform her that her ex-husband had vandalized the vehicle using a kitchen knife.

Initial investigations revealed extensive destruction to the vehicle, including scratches on the exterior, broken left and right rearview mirrors, four punctured tires, and shattered left and rear lights. The total cost of damages is estimated to be around $3,000.

Police are now seeking the ex-husband in connection with the incident.
