By Aaron Humes: The National Football Conference (NFC) champion Seattle Seahawks crushed their American Conference (AFC) rival New England Patriots 29-13 in tonight’s Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Seahawks’ number one-ranked defense proved too strong for the Patriots, sacking quarterback Drake Maye six times.
The game’s first touchdown came in the fourth quarter, with tight-end AJ Barner catching a Sam Darnold pass after Maye fumbled. Jason Myers kicked five field goals before that, setting a Super Bowl record.
The Patriots’ slim comeback hopes were sparked by a 35-yard Mack Hollins touchdown, but Seattle’s defense shut them down, with Maye being picked off twice and giving up a fumble for a touchdown.
Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny stole the show at halftime, performing his entire set in Spanish as the first solo Hispanic halftime act in the game’s history, coming amid criticism from the conservative elite who mounted a counter-program show featuring Donald Trump ally Kid Rock.
