Sunny skies and isolated showers to dominate Belize weather

The National Meteorological Service forecasts a mostly sunny day with a few cloudy spells, but isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible, especially over the mainland this morning and along the coast tonight.

Temperatures will vary across the diverse landscape of Belize. Coastal areas can anticipate highs near 89°F (32°C) and lows around 81°F (27°C). Inland regions will be slightly warmer, with highs reaching 93°F (34°C) and lows dipping to 74°F (23°C). Hilly regions will experience more moderate temperatures, peaking at 81°F (27°C) and dropping to a comfortable 68°F (20°C).

Marine conditions will remain relatively calm, with light chop and waves reaching 2-4 feet. Winds will blow from the east-northeast at 10-15 knots, offering a gentle breeze for those venturing out to sea.

The tropical weather outlook remains quiet for the next 48 hours, with no tropical cyclone formation expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico.

Looking ahead to the start of the week, Belizeans can anticipate partly cloudy skies on Monday and Monday night, with the chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms.
