By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk District are investigating a burglary reported in Guinea Grass Village that resulted in the theft of several items valued at over $6,000.
Reports indicate that on Sunday, April 19, 2026, around 12:30 p.m., a resident reported that earlier that morning he visited his unfinished zinc house located in the Felix Estate area. Upon arrival, he noticed that the front door was closed but not secured.
After making checks inside the building, he discovered that multiple items were missing, including solar batteries, power tools, and construction materials.
Police have since detained two men from the area pending charges of burglary and theft. Authorities also confirmed that the stolen items were recovered.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
