By Breaking Belize News Staff: A tragic late-night accident on San Andres Street in Orange Walk Town has claimed the life of 22-year-old Steven Bell and left his girlfriend seriously injured. The incident occurred on Saturday night, June 1, 2025, just outside Bell’s family home.
According to witnesses, Bell had just stepped outside to meet his girlfriend, who had arrived on her motorcycle. Moments later, a speeding SUV slammed into the motorcycle from behind, throwing both riders onto the pavement. Bell suffered fatal head and body injuries and died at the scene. His girlfriend was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment.
The SUV was reportedly driven by Heidi Chan, who has since been served with a Notice of Intended Prosecution. Police continue to investigate the incident.
