By BBN Staff: Police in the Corozal District are investigating a shocking report of child rape made last week.
According to police reports, a woman and her 12-year-old daughter visited the Corozal Police Station around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 29.
The minor reported that her stepfather began inappropriately touching her back in June of 2019.
The victim further alleged that her stepfather had sexual relations with her once in 2019 and twice this year, in 2025.
A medical examination was conducted on the minor, and the doctor certified that she was carnally known.
Police investigations into this very serious matter are ongoing.
