By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): One of the country’s best-paying trades just became easier to enter without quitting your day job. STEM U Foundation has opened registration for its Adult Evening Welding Classes, a 16 week program starting August 31 at the STEM U Welding Lab at St. Ignatius High School.
The training is hands-on in MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding, with a certification opportunity in two positions, credentials aligned with American Welding Society standards that travel on any resume, local or abroad.
The program is built around working schedules. Students choose between weekday evenings, Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., or a single Saturday session from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., six hours weekly either way.
Tuition is BZ$1,150 with a payment plan available, and enrollment is capped at 18 seats, so spaces are genuinely limited.
Skilled welders remain in demand across construction, agriculture, marine and fabrication work countrywide, and a certified torch hand rarely sits idle.
Applications are through the link on STEM U Foundation’s pages (https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/bJmt34Btvr), with inquiries to [email protected]. Your future starts here, and it starts August 31.
