By Aaron Humes: A night of socializing turned tragic in Cotton Tree Village on Saturday, resulting in the death of Clint Castillo (pictured above) and the injury of Andrew Muns.
According to police reports, an argument erupted among a group of individuals, including Castillo and Muns. The dispute escalated, leading one of the men to discharge a firearm, striking both victims. Castillo tragically succumbed to his injuries, while Muns was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities have detained one person in connection with the shooting and are investigating the incident. The motive behind the argument and subsequent violence remains unclear at this time.
This unfortunate event occurred within Cotton Tree Village, one of the areas currently under a State of Emergency due to increased crime and violence.
As investigations continue, the community mourns the loss of Castillo and hopes for the swift recovery of Muns.
