By Rubén Morales Iglesias: St Catherine Academy (SCA) have once again proven their dominance in girls’ volleyball by winning their 30th consecutive Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) Girls Volleyball Championship. SCA downed Belize High School 3-1 (25-13, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20) in the final at the Swift Hall in Belize City on Saturday, November 2, 2024, to secure the title.

SCA’s reign in the CSSSA Girls Volleyball Championship began back in 1993, and they have maintained their winning streak for three decades. The match against Belize High School was a testament to their skill and determination, with SCA taking the game with a cumulative score of 96-76.

In the battle for third place, Anglican Cathedral College defeated EP Yorke High School in a thrilling five-set match, winning 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-11, 15-6), with a total score of 109-89.

Several individual players were recognized for their outstanding performances:

MVP: Akili Jones (SCA)

Best Attacker: Akili Jones (SCA)

Best Libero: Zazil Marin (SCA)

Best Setter: Carly Vaccaro (Belize High School)
