By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Women’s National Championship got off to an electrifying start Friday night at Countryside Park in Spanish Lookout. Champions SQ Mega Stars and sub-champions SE Lady Jaguars both triumphed in their first two games within their respective pools, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.
SQ Mega Stars proved their mettle defeating M&M Dream Girls (2-0) with sets of 25-8 and 25-10, and EA Lady Warriors (2-0) with sets of 25-1 and 25-4. SE Lady Jaguars also displayed exceptional skill, overcoming Dynasty (2-0) with sets of 25-15 and 25-8, and OW Cobras (2-0) with sets of 25-15 and 25-16.
The championship continues today, Saturday, and culminates tomorrow, Sunday, at Countryside Park. A total of 14 teams are competing for the coveted title, promising a weekend filled with intense matches and high-level volleyball action.
The Belize Volleyball Association encourages fans to come out and support their favorite teams as they battle for supremacy on the court.
In addition to the Women’s National Championship, volleyball enthusiasts can look forward to the Men’s National Championship, which will be held next week at the same venue in Spanish Lookout.

3. **SQ Imperial Stars beat Toledo Panthers 2-0** (25-11, 25-15)
4. **SE Lady Jaguars beat Dynasty 2-0** (25-15, 25-8)
5. **Junior Stars beat SQ Ultra Stars 2-0** (25-5, 25-18)
6. **Jaguar Girls beat Vipers 2-1** (25-13, 29-27, 15-11)
7. **SE Lady Jaguars beat OW Cobras 2-0** (25-15, 25-16)
8. **SQ Mega Stars beat EA Lady Warriors 2-0** (25-1, 25-4)
