By Breaking Belize News Staff: Five people have been jointly charged after the Special Patrol Unit (SPU) discovered a firearm and ammunition during an operation in Unitedville, Cayo District.
Police say Special Patrol Unit personnel carried out the operation at a residence in Unitedville on June 2, 2026. During the search, officers found a .22 pistol containing five live rounds of .22 caliber ammunition.
As a result, Calvin Garcia, Sydney Forbes, Kareem Garcia, Bernadine Myers, and Kevin Trapp were jointly charged with kept firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license.
Police continue to investigate the matter.
