This year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress” highlights that inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it is essential for societal advancement.
“It emphasizes that when we create environments where persons with disabilities can actively participate in all aspects of life socially, culturally, economically and politically, everyone benefits.
Barriers to inclusion such as physical, attitudinal, or systematic doesn’t just affect individuals, but it halts communities from reaching their full potential,” the Special Envoy said.
Together, let us all commit to creating inclusive spaces where everyone can belong, contribute, and strive!
