By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Friday evening on Cinderella Street in Orange Walk Town.
According to police reports, information was received via the 911 emergency line from the Northern Regional Hospital, indicating that a man had been brought in with what appeared to be a stab wound. Relief mobile personnel were immediately dispatched.
Police later visited the hospital, where they met a 30-year-old Belizean laborer of San Felipe Village. The man reported that at approximately 7:30 p.m. yesterday, he was socializing in the Dickens area along Cinderella Street when he was approached by a dark-skinned male individual known to him only as Timothy.
The victim reported that the individual inflicted a stab wound to his left chest before fleeing the area. A medico-legal form was issued, and the victim was advised to visit the police station to make a formal report.
Police say the injury is not life-threatening, and investigations into the matter continue.
