By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize remains under slightly moist and somewhat unstable conditions, according to today’s general weather forecast from the National Meteorological Service.
Today’s 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells and a few showers or isolated thunderstorms. Rain activity will be concentrated over northern and southern districts this morning, gradually spreading to central areas later in the day.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a chance of showers or thunderstorms mainly affecting the south.
Winds will blow from the east at 5 to 15 knots, producing a light chop on coastal waters with wave heights between 2 to 4 feet.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 88°F (31°C) along the coast, 92°F (33°C) inland, and 78°F (26°C) in the hills. Lows tonight will dip to 81°F (27°C) along the coast, 74°F (23°C) inland, and 68°F (20°C) in the hills.
Tides for today include a high at 9:09 AM, a low at 4:48 PM, and another high at 10:54 PM. Tomorrow begins with a low tide at 3:31 AM. Sunrise was at 5:24 AM, and sunset will occur at 6:31 PM.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours.
