By Zoila Palma: Six new international chaplains were recently sworn in at the Full Gospel Church of God in Kontiki, marking a significant moment for the church’s expanding ministry.
Pastor José Polanco congratulated the chaplains and encouraged them to continue seeking the Lord in their service.
“We are making progress in the area of Public and Social Ministry. We congratulate all those who graduated from the Chaplain program, and we look forward to a year of expansion,” said Pastors José and Ana Polanco.
Chaplains play a vital role as extensions of the church’s ministry, offering spiritual support to individuals away from home, including those in the military, hospitals, correctional facilities, and workplaces.
They are ordained clergypersons, either full-time, part-time, or volunteers, tasked with sharing God’s message in various settings, often in pluralistic environments.
These chaplains are called by God and endorsed by Church of God Ministries to serve wherever they are needed.
Endorsement from the church signifies that a chaplain is in “good standing” and committed to ministering according to the beliefs and practices of the Church of God.
Ecclesiastically endorsed chaplains have demonstrated advanced education, experience, and the skills required for specialized ministry.
