By Breaking Belize News Staff: In a striking show of political solidarity, UDP Leader Shyne Barrow and Opposition Leader Tracy Panton marched side by side during the Battle of St. George’s Caye Day parade.
Barrow used the historic occasion to draw parallels between Belize’s past struggles and today’s political climate.
He accused the current PUP government of high cost of living, corruption, and poor governance, warning that Belizeans are facing a national crisis.
Barrow insisted the UDP has a duty to reunite and fight for the people, much like the Baymen and enslaved Africans who united in 1798 to defend Belize’s sovereignty.
Calling on the spirit of the ancestors, Barrow vowed that the UDP will rise to “defeat a government that has lost its way.”
