By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belizeans can expect another warm and breezy day across much of the country, with forecasters noting periods of sunshine mixed with passing clouds. However, tonight may bring more unsettled weather as a few outbreaks of showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, especially along southern and coastal regions.
The National Meteorological Service reports that a relatively moist and unstable atmosphere is combining with moderate to strong easterly winds to produce the unstable conditions. Winds will blow from the east at 10 to 20 knots and may become gusty at times. As a result, small craft operators are strongly advised to exercise caution due to rough seas, with wave heights reaching between 4 to 7 feet.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to about 92°F inland, 86°F along the coast, and 78°F in the hills. By night, temperatures will fall to 74°F inland, 81°F along coastal zones, and 68°F in the higher elevations.
Tide watchers should note a low tide occurred at 8:10 a.m., followed by a high at 2:01 p.m., and another low at 9:08 p.m. The next high tide is set for 3:23 a.m. on Wednesday.
No tropical cyclone activity is expected over the next 48 hours in the Atlantic Basin.
Looking ahead to Wednesday and Wednesday night, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy, with further outbreaks of showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain favoring southern and coastal parts of the country.
