By Aaron Humes: A late-night shooting on Tibruce Street, Belize City, has resulted in one individual being hospitalized with serious injuries. The incident occurred in the Precinct 2 area, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
According to reports, officers arrived at the scene to find a dark-skinned male lying on the ground, bleeding from the left side of his face. The victim was identified as Isau Louima, a 28-year-old Belizean resident of Tibruce Street.
Emergency personnel quickly transported Louima to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for urgent medical treatment. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and police have launched an investigation to determine the events leading up to the incident.
Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding this shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
