By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Chinese e-commerce platforms Shein and Temu are taking over the world’s online shopping carts.
Consumers are showcasing their #Sheinhaul or #Temuhaul on various social media platforms sharing with others how to purchase cheap clothing, fashion jewelry, hair and fashion accessories and household items from the comfort of your homes.
In addition, the shipping companies’ swift delivery to your home has transformed shopping.
China has been “the world’s factory” for decades, with made-in-China goods reaching global consumers through foreign brands, shops, or sites like Amazon.
And companies such as Alibaba continue to grow.
In Belize, several online shops provide Pre-order and even in-store Shein and Temu items.
A quick Facebook search shows stores such as Top Tier TrendZ and OrangeWalk Shein Preorder marketing and promoting a variety of products including vehicle accessories.
Shein clothing and accessories have gained massive popularity across Belize with consumers shopping for cheaper clothes and accessories.
Business owners are taking advantage of this new generation of Chinese shopping platforms and their ultralow prices.
Last year, Shein also launched an Amazon-like marketplace for Chinese and international sellers to stock products, including electronics, DIY tools, and appliances.
