By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating the death of 42-year-old Shawn Hertular, who was discovered early Sunday morning on October 12 with severe head injuries. The incident was reported to police around 3:30 a.m.
Hertular was promptly transported to the San Ignacio Hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith shared details regarding the ongoing investigation, stating, “A postmortem examination has since been conducted on the body of Hertular, which revealed that he died from a gunshot wound.”
The police have identified a person of interest in connection with the case and are actively seeking their whereabouts as the investigation progresses. They have classified the incident as a “death investigation,” and detectives are working diligently to gather more information and apprehend those responsible.
Those concerned are urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the case.
