The Colombian singer had a busy year, marked by numerous awards and hit songs like “Acróstico” and “El jefe” with Fuerza Regida, the latter targeting her ex, Gerard Piqué, who decided to fumble the bag and leave her for a Casio.
How did this happen though? Well, let’s take a stroll down memory lane. For starters, her triumph at this year’s Latin Grammys, where she bagged three awards, including the Song of the Year alongside Argentinian producer Bizarrap for their post-breakup anthem “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” led her to the top of Google’s searches.
The track “TQG,” a collaboration with Karol G, also emerged as the third most searched news item related to her name. This song skyrocketed to become the most-watched YouTube song of 2023, amassing over 800 million views.
