By Aaron Humes: Ahead of Tropical Storm Sara’s expected arrival this weekend, at 3 p.m. this afternoon, Friday, the High Court will be closing to ensure the safety and well-being of all court staff, jurors, attorneys, court assets and the general public.
Cases affected by this adjournment will be rescheduled, and new dates will be communicated to all relevant parties in due course. Normal court operations are expected to resume on Monday at 9:00 am pending outcome of the storm. Kindly note that further notice will be sent where such is not possible. In exceptional Circumstances the Senior Courts will be available to hear urgent applications once the circumstances permit.
Court users are urged to stay informed through official channels and to adhere to any further advisories issued by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).
