By Horace Palacio: New video footage has emerged showing the terrifying moments when a group of men fled for their lives during a drive-by shooting on Saturday in front of T&J Store in Belmopan.
In the footage, a gunman can be seen leaning out of an SUV and firing directly at a parked car in point-blank fashion. The passengers inside the vehicle are seen quickly bolting out and running for safety, narrowly avoiding serious injury.
Miraculously, only one person was injured—a 23-year-old who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police continue to investigate, and the video is expected to play a key role in tracking down those responsible.
