By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 22-year-old security guard from Neal’s Pen Road is out on bail after being charged with sexual assault in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court.
Tyrique Tyrone Rodriguez appeared unrepresented before a Senior Magistrate in Court #2, where he was accused of unlawfully touching a woman’s buttocks on Jane Usher Boulevard on September 2, 2025. Prosecutors alleged the act was sexual in nature and without her consent.
Rodriguez pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of $3,000 plus two sureties of $1,500 each. As part of his bail conditions, he must not interfere with the complainant or her family and must stay at least 25 feet away from her.
He also cleared an outstanding $30 court fine before securing his release. Rodriguez is scheduled to return to court on October 28, 2025.
