By Aaron Humes: Emiliano Torres, a 60-year-old man who collided with a motorcycle while on bicycle in the village of San Felipe, Orange Walk District, succumbed to his injuries yesterday, Sunday.

Torres is the second death resulting from a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred in November.

29-year-old Elias Cowo was found lifeless beside his severely damaged motorcycle on the night of the incident. Initial investigations revealed that Cowo lost control of his motorcycle when he ran into Torres and crashed, sustaining fatal injuries. Authorities at the time reported that Cowo was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, as was Torres, which may have contributed to the crash.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge the public to exercise caution, emphasizing the heightened dangers of driving under the influence. Recent incidents highlight the risks to both motorcyclists and other drivers on the road.
