By Breaking Belize News Staff: A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Bowen & Bowen delivery truck driver that occurred in mid-April.
Keshawn Dennison, 31, a fisherman from Lords Bank, was arraigned late Thursday evening in Court #8 on a single count of robbery. He appeared unrepresented and was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until his next court appearance.
Police allege that Dennison, along with 21-year-old Jaheim Herman Morris, held up a deliveryman at gunpoint on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The duo reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of company cash, the deliveryman’s black wallet containing $300 in cash, his Belize driver’s license, debit card, and his Bowen & Bowen employee ID.
The deliveryman, who was accompanied by two delivery assistants during the incident, told police the men approached the truck and one pointed a silver firearm at him. During the holdup, Morris’s surgical mask reportedly slipped, revealing a missing tooth that led to his identification.
One of the delivery assistants ran into a nearby restaurant for help, alerting an on-duty police officer, who responded by opening fire on the suspects as they fled into the Dunn Street area. Morris was later found at the KHMH with four gunshot wounds and was arraigned on April 22 for his role in the robbery.
Police recovered several pieces of evidence from the scene, including four expended shells on Saint Joseph Street, a blood-stained $100 bill, and the suspects’ getaway bicycle near Youth for the Future Drive.
Despite the evidence, Morris has pleaded not guilty. Both he and Dennison are scheduled to appear together in court for the first time on June 20, 2025.
