Second Belize City teen targeted in murder attempt tonight

By Aaron Humes: For the second time tonight there has been an attempted murder of a teenager.

This victim has been identified as Joseph Leslie, 19, Fisherman of Laura Dunn Street, Belize City, who was suffering from apparent wounds to left hand, left elbow, left side of the abdomen and right side of the abdomen.

Initial investigation revealed that Joseph Leslie was walking on Laura Dunn Street heading into Antelope Street Extension, when he was approached by a man on bicycle, who came off the bicycle, pointed a firearm at him and fired several shots causing the above mention injuries.

The man then rode away and escaped, and Leslie ran back into Laura Dunn Street, where he collapsed and was later rushed to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital by Police.

Leslie remains in hospital as police investigations continue.
