By Horace Palacio: As the new week kicks off, Belizeans can expect another round of sunny skies, warm temperatures, and only isolated showers. The National Meteorological Service reports that a generally fair weather pattern continues, although a few clouds and brief showers may sneak into the forecast during the nighttime hours.
Temperatures are pushing the limits again, with inland highs expected to reach a sweltering 96°F (36°C). Coastal communities will also feel the heat, reaching up to 88°F (31°C), while the hills provide the coolest escape at 80°F (27°C).
However, a small craft caution remains in effect due to easterly to southeasterly winds blowing at 10 to 20 knots, generating moderate to rough seas with wave heights between 5 and 7 feet. Marine operators are urged to navigate with caution, particularly in open waters.
Looking ahead, Tuesday is expected to bring much of the same—a continuation of sunshine, warm temperatures, and only a slight chance of isolated showers, keeping Belize in a dry and breezy spell for now.
