By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Saint Catherine Academy (SCA) emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Pallotti High School (PHS) in the Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) girls’ football tournament held on Saturday at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.
Davae McCaulay opened the scoring for SCA at the 26-minute mark, followed by Evely Noble’s goal at the 39th minute. Tatiana Martinez sealed the victory with another goal in the 44th minute.
Pallotti’s Jasha Bernardez scored the lone goal for her team at the 10-minute mark, but it was not enough to overcome SCA’s strong performance.
