By Horace Palacio: A pink beach cruiser bicycle has gone missing from a Sarteneja Village home, and the owner suspects foul play by a family member.
A 32-year-old woman reported the bicycle stolen sometime between the hours of midnight and 3:00 am on Saturday, March 9th. She left the bicycle unsecured in front of her cement bungalow house after feeling unwell. Upon waking at 9:00 am, she discovered the bicycle missing.
The woman, having recently had a disagreement with her nephew, searched the village for him. She received information that her nephew had been seen with a pink bicycle. When confronted, he denied any knowledge of the theft.
Police have recorded the woman’s statement and are investigating the incident. Charges are pending against the woman’s nephew.
