By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Santander Sugar Group has officially launched its recruitment campaign for the 2026 Harvest Season, offering over 400 seasonal job opportunities across its industrial, workshop, harvest, and farm divisions. The company, located near Valley of Peace and Cotton Tree Village, is preparing for its 11th harvest season, which is expected to run from February 15 to June 15, depending on weather conditions.
“This is our 11th harvest season,” confirmed Human Resources Manager Erwin Garcia. “All these job opportunities are seasonal positions… for approximately four months. I just want to make that point clear, however every year we retain a small percentage of these candidates as full time employees”
Wide Range of Roles Across Four Divisions
Santander’s flyer outlines more than two dozen roles, with varying qualifications and experience levels. Some positions require trade school certification and one year of experience, while others are open to candidates with only primary or high school education and no prior experience.
* Industrial Area: Includes welders, mechanics, electricians, machinist operators, lab technicians, lab samplers, weighbridge operators, fitters, and instrument technicians. Garcia clarified, “Welders for the industrial area would be industrial welders, industrial mechanics, industrial electricians, and so forth.”
* Workshop Division: Offers roles such as welders, electromechanics, machine operators, and warehouse attendants. “Mechanics in the workshop are those with a background in automotives & agriculture equipment,” Garcia explained.
* Harvest Operations: Focused on operators—tractor drivers, truck driver, harvester operators, tally clerks, and harvest supervisors. “Most of the people involved in that harvest are operators,” Garcia noted, adding that manual transmission vehicle drivers are also needed.
* Farm Division: Includes farm supervisors, excavator operators, farm hand, and tower control operators. Garcia emphasized the scale of the operation: “We have several farms… some near Cotton Tree & Franks Eddy Villages and others spread around the area.”
Additional Openings: Santander also runs an on-site restaurant and is seeking two kitchen helpers for the upcoming season.

Garcia highlighted the improved access thanks to a newly built bridge: “From the main road from Cotton Tree, it takes you approximately 9 to 10 minutes to get here.”
