By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Agriculture awarded Sandy Creek Academy in Silk Grass third place in the National Primary School Garden Competition on Thursday morning.
The school received a $500 voucher, assorted fruit trees from the Ministry, and a selection of seeds donated by the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI).
The award was presented by Ministry representatives Emilio Montero and Noel Ramos.
The Ministry congratulated Sandy Creek Academy for its commitment to agriculture and praised the school’s outstanding garden project.
