By Zoila Palma: On May 4, 2026, San Pedro High School issued a statement to clarify circulating reports of teachers not showing up for classes and recent damage to school property.
“These claims are not accurate. All teachers reported for duty as scheduled.
The situation in question was the result of a senior prank that unfortunately went too far and led to damage on campus. While we understand that senior traditions can be a way for students to celebrate the end of their journey, actions that result in harm to school property are taken seriously. The students involved will be facing consequences,” the school said.
The school also urged everyone to avoid spreading misinformation and to seek the facts before drawing conclusions.
“Let’s continue to support our school community with honesty, respect, and accountability,” the school said.
