Belize’s top women’s club prepares for a pivotal regional clash in Panama City as UNCAF Interclub action heats up.

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: After a hard-fought 3–2 loss to Panama’s Chorrillo FC in their opening match, Belize’s Sagitun GIRLZ FC 
are set to take on El Salvador’s Alianza Women 
on Saturday, July 19 at 9:15 am (8:15 am Belize) in their second group-stage fixture of the UNCAF Women’s Interclub Championship, currently underway in Panama.
Sagitun GIRLZ showed grit in their opener, with Shantae Chacon equalizing in the 63rd minute after trailing 1–0. Chorrillo responded with two more goals before Jolene Aranda pulled one back in injury time, ending the match 3–2 in favour of the Panamanian side.
Their next opponent, Alianza Women, are one of El Salvador’s top clubs and are coming off a 2–0 loss to Nicaragua’s Real Estelí 
. The match promises to be a test of Sagitun’s defensive resolve and attacking creativity as they aim to stay in contention for a knockout spot.
Sagitun GIRLZ will close group play against Nicaragua’s Real Estelí on Monday, July 21 at 9:15 am (8:15 am Belize), hoping to secure a spot in the knockout rounds for the first time.
