By Rubén Morales Iglesias: A new NSSSA Boys Champion will be crowned today when Sacred Heart College face Orange Walk Technical High School in the 2:00 pm Boys Final at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.
Sacred Heart advanced on Friday afternoon with a 2–1 win over Julian Cho Technical High School, securing the first spot in the final. Orange Walk Technical joined them later in the night after defeating defending champions Gwen Lizarraga High School 4–2 on penalties following a 0–0 draw in regulation and extra‑time.
Julian Cho and Gwen Lizarraga will contest the boys’ third‑place match at 10:00 am.
With Gwen Lizarraga eliminated, the boys’ competition is guaranteed to crown a new champion, while Sacred Heart and Orange Walk Technical both face off for third place.
