By Aaron Humes: A shooting incident occurred on Vernon Street near Cox Tire Shop this afternoon.
At 2:13 PM, reports emerged of a shot fired in the area. According to eyewitnesses, one person was shot in the foot and transported to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment. He has since been identified as 19-year-old Steve Parks, who works as a “runman”.
The incident is currently under investigation, and police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
