By Zoila Palma: Over the weekend, the Rotary Club of San Ignacio installed a Rotary Christmas Tree on the Rotary Flag Pole in Santa Elena, Cayo.
Rotary says that standing at 30 feet tall, this tree shines as a beacon of unity, seasonal joy, and hope for Santa Elena and our twin town of San Ignacio.
“The installation was a true labor of love, made possible through the collaboration of Rotarians, @interactclubofsise , and international Rotarian Doug Moorhead. It took a full day of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance—but we were committed to seeing it through and ensuring everything was ready for the lighting ceremony the following evening,” the club said.
The initiative was made possible with collaboration from Minister Alex Balona and his team.
Together, Rotary and Balona are bringing Christmas cheer to our community and create spaces where families can gather, celebrate, and feel the spirit of the season.
