Rolling power outages continue to affect Belize; while BWS announce extended low water pressure

Last night, there were emergency power outages due to urgent repairs.

On Thursday, the company continued to conduct load shedding which was necessary for various sections of the country to maintain stability of the grid.

Meanwhile, Belize Water Services announced a significant disruption to water supply, exacerbating the challenges faced by residents.

BWS notice informed customers in Belize City that there will be low water pressure due to a broken water main.

The restoration time is 6pm today.

The simultaneous occurrence of power outages and water disruptions has prompted concerns among residents about the city’s infrastructure resilience and preparedness to handle such situations.

Many have called for improved infrastructure investments and contingency plans to mitigate the impact of similar incidents in the future.

As the day progresses, residents of Belize City remain hopeful for a swift resolution to the dual crises, with anticipation mounting for the restoration of essential services vital for the well-being and functioning of the community.
