By Aaron Humes: Sacred Heart College of San Ignacio Town recently appointed Dr Berta Cambranes as the new Principal and President, succeeding Rocio Smith Carballo.
An email to faculty and staff said of Dr Cambranes, “We are confident in her capabilities to lead SHC Inc. with the support and collaboration of all its employees.”
With a career spanning 27 years in education, Dr Cambranes brings a wealth of experience and a vision that promises to inspire both students and staff alike.
Dr Cambranes ascended through various roles, from primary school teacher to department head, interim vice principal, and Spanish teacher at Sacred Heart College High School.
Smith Carballo, meanwhile, is retiring. She took the opportunity to “thank each and every one of you [faculty and staff] for your support during my tenure as Principal/President of SHC Inc.”
